Sweep 7 - Straight curved gouge
(STUB012-01)
The straight tool has a body placed in the centre line of the handle making for high cutting power. The blade does not bend during carving. Widths greater than 20 mm are intended for the preparation of the work, while those less than 16 mm are for finishing.
The curved gouge has a slight bend to free the ends of the blade to prevent it from getting stuck in the wood.
High quality polished HSS gouge with octagonal beech handle.
The heat treatment of the blade (58-60HRC) guarantees excellent durability.
Uses : precision carving (rosette, lettering, engraving, floral ornamentation, character lines of a face)
