Sweep 11 - Short bent gouge

The tool has the special feature of having a straight body and an angled end. This tool is essentially used for vertical to horizontal work. It is the must-have for finishing work, the bent tool allows for hollowing and clearing cuts without using a mallet. A shock on the handle can cause the blade to oscillate and give rise to poor cutting quality.
This gouge is only used by the force of the wrist to hollow deep shapes.
High quality polished HSS gouge with octagonal beech handle.
The heat treatment of the blade (58-60HRC) guarantees excellent durability.
Uses : carving on statues, hollowing and different sizes of moulding.
